3 Reasons Why Vitamin C is not Effective on You

Assalamu’alaikum and Great Day everyone.

It has been sometimes since I last wrote here. What triggered me to write is because since I’m residing in Penang, I fall sick quite often. Is it this place or is it me? Back in 2012 until 2018, I stayed in Gombak and Shah Alam but falling sick wasn’t my thing. I wonder why and what has been affecting my health and how to overcome it. This leads to the reasons why Vitamin C isn’t effective on me. For your information, last December, I bought a supplement with intention that I want to improve my skin complexity. I’m not flawless, obviously, and want to be one. Yet, one of Vit C’s benefits is that it is good for your health. But again, instead of getting a flawless skin and get healthier, why it turns out the other way around?

First, because I’m addicted to caffeine. Caffeine and any kind of supplement will never go well together. They’re like rival! Haha yes, I’m exaggerating. But truth to be told, if you want your money do not go to waste (coz supplement is expensive liddat), you better take care of this thing. I’ve stopped consuming Vit C about two months already since I didn’t see its effectiveness. But I might resume since I’ve known whys.

Second, because I did not consume enough plain water. As simple as that but with a huge impact. People have been saying we should drink 3L water but it isn’t for everybody actually. We should drink according to our body weight and as for me 2.5L should be sufficient. You should figure out yours. On weekdays, is not a big deal for me as I work in the office but on weekend, ugh 2 cups of water aren’t easy I tell you.

Third, because my intestine is spearheaded with the toxins. I’ve heard this a lot. I went to a pharmacy and the pharmacist said that, whatever you consume, it won’t bring any good if my intestine hasn’t been detoxified. Its true you see. I don’t care about my calorie intake or whatever since I live here. I barely exercise. I no longer eat fruits. I eat outside. And the list goes on. The key point to it is that I do not practice healthy lifestyle and it affects so many aspects of my life.

I know there’s more reasons to it but these three things are my focus right now. I’ve gotta fix this to regain my health back. I’ve been overworked and not taking care of my health seriously. Since Allah has been sending me hints, I better take action now.

7 Tempat Menarik di Pulau Pinang || Penang Escapade Feb 2019

Assalamu'alaikum and hye everyone!

To fulfil what I've promised in my previous entry, here I am, writing about my escapade with my best friends last week (15 to 17 Feb 2019).

Our plan to travel to Penang had gone long way since our university's day. Things happened, and we did not manage to proceed with the plan at that moment, yet we managed to visit Melaka.

Who knows that Allah has a better plan for us. Apparently, I landed a job at Penang and made it easier for them to come over here.

Long story short, they stayed at my place and here’s the places we visited.

1)     Penang Hill

Entrance fee :  RM 10

The view is just Ma shaa Allah 😍

The normal fee is RM 50

Frankly speaking, there are a few places that are overrated.
If you wanna visit for a first time, it's okay. But for me to go twice, hmm it's just not worth it.

Places worth the second visit:

  • Penang Hill
  • Gurney Drive Food Complex
  • Nasi Kandar Line Clear
  • Pantai Batu Feringghi

This is my opinion and you can have yours. 💓

Do share with me other best places to explore in Penang.

See ya.

Better Late Than Never : My Long-Term Goals

Assalamu'alaikum and Hi everyone!

Feels like it has been years since I last updated this blog >.<

Life is like that you know. There are times when you are so damn obsessed about something or someone and then when you've had enough, you just walk away. Haha.

Anyway, a few seconds ago, there was a thought popping up in my mind.

I don't know if it's just me or you might face the same thing but somehow, after some time I forget either I have achieved my goals or not yet.

Happen to be that if we did not write down our goals, when time passes by, we might not realize we already achieve those goals, especially those the long-term ones.

So here I am today, planning to write down all the things that I want to achieve be it this year or the next ones.

My Resolutions for 2019
*strikethrough = achieved

  1. To read at least a book every month which in total will be 12 books a year.
  2. To travel with my family or friends somewhere in Malaysia.
  3. To buy a car.
  4. To participate in voluntary activities or clubs.
  5. To update my blog more frequently >>.<<
  6. To lose weight to 45kg.

    Last but not least,
  7. To find "my soulmate". (ugh sound so cheesy but have to. haha)

Before I'm 30 (2024) - if I'm still alive, in shaa Allah -

  1. To perform umrah.
  2. To travel overseas i.e Japan, South Korea, Perth.
  3. To buy a property (house).
  4. To develop my career.
  5. To get married.
  6. To open up a Library Cafe.
  7. To further study either in Executive Diploma in IR or MBA.

The list goes on but for now, that's what I have in mind.

It's very crucial for us to have something that we want to achieve so that we'll be motivated to do so. We'll look forward to life and not live in vain. Nauzubillah.

Just some real quick update, what I've accomplished for now were finishing my degree and landing a permanent job in the same year, in a state nearer to my hometown. Alhamdulillah.

And for the first resolution of 2019, book(s) that I've read as belows:
  • January : Kalau Jodoh Tak Ke Mana by Naurah Iman
  • February : How To Live A Happy Life
  • March : The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
  • April : Things I Wish My Mother Had Told Me
  • May : Cerita Orang HR
  • June : Semusim Di Mahsyar by Hadi Fayyadh

Perhaps, that's all for now.

I pray that may we achieve our resolutions and may Allah make it easy for us. Aminn.

Till next time.
